CNQ: Canada’s New Stock Exchange, recently announced a new volume based trading fee schedule which reduces the cost for investment dealers participating on its Listed Market. The new fee model takes effect on Friday, October 17, 2008, in conjunction with an upgrade of CNQ’s trading system to the X-stream platform, used for the last two years by CNQ’s Pure Trading. The new price schedule, and the migration to the X-Stream platform, are all part of a systematic upgrading of our stock exchange - to serve you better.

To ensure the orderly migration of the CNQ listed market to the new X-stream trading platform on October 17th, 2008, please note the following important points:

October 16th, 2008
17:00: the CNQ Listed Market Horizon order entry and market data system will be decommissioned. All open orders in the Horizon system will be cancelled.

October 17th, 2008
8:00: the CNQ Listed Market goes into pre-open session; all dealers must re-enter orders.
9:30: the CNQ Listed Market will be open for trading on the new platform.
